      GPS Data Sources

UNAVCO: GPS velocities are available from GPS Data Products, which has these data sets:
      NAM08: ftp://data-out.unavco.org/pub/products/velocity/pbo.final_nam08.vel   (2364 stations; release date 20130506)
      IGS08: ftp://data-out.unavco.org/pub/products/velocity/pbo.final_igs08.vel   (2364 stations; release date 20130506)
      SNARF: ftp://data-out.unavco.org/pub/products/velocity/pbo.final_snf01.vel   (2364 stations; release date 20130506)
Select NAM08 or IGS08 for the most current solutions and stations.

GEM Strain Rate Map Project, 2013: GPS Velocity Vectors at 20557 stations around the world.

      Earthquake Data Source

Epicentral data comes from the USGS Earthquake Search . There are two sets of earthquakes from this source: 10375 North American earthquakes of magnitudes 4.0 or more, and 16327 global earthquakes of magnitude 5.5 or more, both sets for the years 1973-2009. Color indicates depth of the earthquake. This shows regions where earthquakes commonly occur, not the latest earthquakes. To see recent earthquake locations, use the New Earthquake Map/List/Search tool from the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program.

      Volcano Data Source

      Smithsonian Global Volcanism Program

      Tectonic Plates

From the USGS web site Tectonic Plate Boundaries
Earth's Tectonic Plates All plates are always shown in this viewer, when selected (no declutterting).

If you have questions about the data displayed (not about the quality of the displays made here), please check with the data providers listed above.
