Summary: Dr. Lisle asked that UNAVCO survey several dive holes in the sea ice immediately west of McMurdo so that they can be re-located in following seasons. These holes provide access to the sea floor where data are gathered to study the interaction between human and seal digestive bacteria. A Trimble 4700 with DGPS capabilities was used. UNAVCO provided field support, data processing, and data archiving.
