Summary: GPS data were collected continuously for approximately 3 weeks on Crater Hill outside of McMurdo Station with a Trimble 4000 receiver. The data will be used by Dr. Rachid in the study of upper-atmosphere ice crystals in the region. Antarctica New Zealand provided logistical support to this project, and UNAVCO provided the GPS receiver and related equipment, field support, initial data processing and data archiving.
