UNAVCO operates an RTK GPS broadcasting system at McMurdo Station. The system provides centimeter level differential corrections to properly equipped users in the vicinity of McMurdo, allowing for high precision stake-out surveys and simplifying GPS survey tasks that would otherwise require collection and post-processing of data. The system is operational between WINFLY and late February.
