Polar Networks Science Committee (PNSC)

IRIS, UNAVCO, and the Antarctic GPS and seismic research communities are actively pursuing remote GPS and seismic instrumentation, power, and communication systems for Polar network applications, commencing in the International Polar Year (2007-09). To ensure that the facility efforts remain well coordinated with the science needs and take best advantage of existing experience within the community, the UNAVCO and IRIS/PASSCAL facilities will seek advice and assistance from a Polar Networks Science Committee (PNSC). This unique committee reports to both the UNAVCO and IRIS Board of Directors.

Committee members:
Terry Wilson, Ohio State University - Chair
Doug Wiens, Washington University - Vice-Chair
Sridhar Anandakrishnan, Pennsylvania State University
Rick Aster, New Mexico Tech
Carol Raymond, Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Bob Smalley, University of Memphis
