Support

Technical support to GPS system users is provided by UNAVCO. Users who intend to use the system for a significant amount of field surveying are strongly encouraged to arrange for training at the UNAVCO Facility in Boulder, Colorado prior to their field season. UNAVCO Field Engineer support may also be available for projects with a significant GPS surveying component. Specific on-line documentation is available below for users familiar with GPS surveying and data processing, including a comprehensive Users Manual. Remote (email and telephone) assistance is also provided by UNAVCO. Upon project completion, GPS data and meta-data archival is available from UNAVCO for permanent safeguarding.

A comprehensive Users Manual has been written for the Summit Camp GPS system, including a guide for first-cut quality checking of GPS data using Trimble Geomatics Office.
