The UNAVCO Facility was recently tasked with the receiver and antenna testing for two competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) released by the Plate Boundary Observatory (PBO). All receivers tested mark a significant improvement in GPS technology with some having: direct Ethernet connectivity, low power consumption (< 5 watts), compact size, and superior tracking performance.
