The UNAVCO Facility supports RedHat Linux OS computer systems for in-house applications such as: dedicated timeservers, development computers, GPS data processing, and for field installations in support of NASA and NSF funded research project installations. The Facility's support includes configuration and deployment of new Linux computers, maintenance of existing installations, and ongoing documentation and security updates to ensure the computers conform to existing security guidelines. UNAVCO supports existing RedHat Linux 5.2, 6.2, 7.1, 7.3 OS releases. Updated installation documentation is available upon request from the Facility.

UNAVCO takes no responsibility for computer security and/or compatibility with new or existing software and/or hardware packages when using the Facility's recommended configurations. The end-user is solely responsible for the security of their own system.
